Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Chavez; and son, Eugene Chavez. JOHNSTON, RICHARD (DICK) HARVEY A residence of Albuquerque since 1976, he passed away on April 15th, 2014. Dick is survived by his wife Beverly; two sons, Rick and Andy; grandchildren, Taylor, John Michael and Nicholas; sister, Susan Farady; brother, Mike Johnston and Meigs, his faithful companion. Dick relocated to Albuquerque from Denver, Colorado while working in real estate development. He was responsible for numerous developments within the Albuquerque Metro area. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Animal Humane Society of New Mexico.

ESPINOZA, DAVID PATRICK Age 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1985, died Wed April 2 following a lengthy battle with Leukemia. He is survived by his children, daughter Amy, son Mark; grandchildren Kelsy And Nate Neuf, Lindsy Shapiro; great-grandson Roman Arthur Neuf; brothers Ricardo and Alfred; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Santos and Mercedes Espinoza, oldest brother Philip, and his beloved wife of 40 years, Nancy L Espinoza (Campbell). David was an avid musician, artist and devout catholic and often shared his passion by playing is guitar in the church choir at John XXIII Catholic Community, numerous senior citizen homes, and as a veteran at the local VA Hospital. He enjoyed all that New Mexico's great climate had to offer and remained extremely active often playing golf and tennis with his friends and taking numerous aerobics/fitness classes as well. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 1100am at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE 87111 with Father Charles Dougherty officiating. Those wishing to do so may attend a reception in David's honor immediately afterwards. The family asks that in lieu of cards or flowers, those desiring to do so may make a contribution in David's name to UNM Cancer Center, Heartland Hospice, or your local VA Hospital.

DICKSON, MARJORIE HAZEL Age 89, a resident of Albuquerque from 1972, leaving to live in Florence, Oregon and returning to Albuquerque in 2009. Marjorie was called to the Father on April 18, 2014. She is survived by her former husband of 39 years Harry Dickson; children Antoinette and husband Robert Smith of Cedar Crest, Harry Dickson Jr. of Albuquerque, Catherine Reid and husband Philip Reid of Clovis, CA; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Turanski. Marjorie was a member of the Florence Garden Club and past member of Four Hills, Tanoan, and Paradise Hills Country Clubs. She led a very active life balancing the rigors of being a USAF Commander's wife, raising a family, and spending many hours as a volunteer at local hospitals. She also managed to find time to become an accomplished golfer and bowler. Marjorie lived life with a passion and determination. Whatever she pursued she gave it her all. We will all remember her distinctive laugh and her passion for life. She will be missed by all who knew her. CERVANTES, AGUSTIN &Quot;AGGIE&Quot; Age 82, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Life, Friday, April 18, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. Agustin worked in Public Relations for the State of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Department where he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his family, socializing with people, dining out, and going to the casino. Agustin thought the world of his family. He was very proud of his children and all of their accomplishments. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Adela Cervantes; his wife, Kathleen "Katie" Cervantes; brothers, Ignacio, Frank and Phil Cervantes. Agustin is survived by his loving children, Richard Cervantes and wife Cynthia, William Cervantes and wife Diana, David Cervantes, Emily Cervantes, Gerald Cervantes and wife Wendy; his precious grandchildren, Michael Cervantes and wife Diondria, Bret Cervantes Madrid, Cameron Cervantes, and Kaylin Cervantes; his great-grandchildren, Deziah, Jasmine, and Jeremiah Cervantes. Also surviving are his two loving sisters, Barbara Monica and Lucy Cervantes; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Agustin will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Doris is survived by James Andre M.D., her husband of 64 years; two daughters and sons in law, Linda and Owen Wells of Wisconsin, and Paige and Dennis Hudson of Florida. She is also survived by three brothers, Elmer "Al" Sumner of Texas, Benjamin Sumner of Georgia, Elger Sumner of Michigan; a sister, Elner Green of Alabama; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Rene' James Andre in 1979, and her grandson, Christopher James Andre Hudson in 2003. Don was born on September 14, 1946 to his parents, Fred A. & Luisa P. (Pacheco) Sanchez. He was a beloved husband, father, and brother. Don is survived by his beloved wife of twenty six years, Ruth; his sons, Jonathan Sanchez, and Ricardo Zamora and wife, Angela; his daughters, Tamara Sanchez, and Denise Weisheit and husband, Douglas; grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Marissa, Alexandra, Nicholas and Daniel; brothers, Luis A. Sanchez, William (Art) Sanchez, and twin brother Danny L. Sanchez; sisters, Josie Martinez, D. Eva Chavez, and Teresina Candelaria and husband, Eloy; sister-in-law, Nancy Sanchez; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Don was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam Era. He grew up in Albuquerque and worked for Law Enforcement as a Corrections Officer until his retirement in 2005. SANCHEZ, ARSENIO, DEACON Deacon Arsenio C. Sanchez, age 85 of Puerto De Luna, NM passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. A Rosary for the Parish and community will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday, April 28, 2014 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 29, 2014 with nephew Father Bill Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at El Calvario Cemetery in Puerto De Luna, NM. Serving as Pallbearers will be Ernest Tapia, Lawrence Rael, Eddie Campos, Danny Flores, Abel Mireles, Frank Madrid, Emilio Abeyta and Ken Sanchez. Deacon Arsenio was born October 27, 1928 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Adolpho and Ignacita (Saiz) Sanchez. He grew up in Puerto De Luna. He attended school at Puerto De Luna and Santa Rosa graduating from Santa Rosa High School in 1948. While in high school he participated in 4-H, F.F.A., and football. Following graduation he attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Deacon Arsenio married Dora L. Flores on November 26, 1951 in Puerto De Luna. In his early years Deacon Arsenio worked as a deputy sheriff, and later was elected Guadalupe County Sheriff, he also served as the Guadalupe County Assessor, was a past member of the Santa Rosa School Board, and was elected four terms as Magistrate Judge. During all these years he farmed, ranched, and raised Quarter Horses at his Puerto De Luna farm. Most important to Deacon Arsenio was his family and his faith. He was ordained as a Deacon for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and served Nuestra Senora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. According to his family, he enjoyed raising horses, farming, and his life as a Deacon. Deacon Arsenio wass preceded in death by his parents, two daughters Rita Marie Sanchez and Monica Joan Sanchez, two brothers Benny Sanchez, and Christobal Sanchez, and his son-in-law Joe Silva. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by his wife of 63 years, Dora F. Sanchez of the home in Puerto De Luna; ten children, four sons David "Hossie" Sanchez and wife Pat of Los Chavez, Michael Sanchez and wife Julie of Albuquerque, Frankie Sanchez and his wife Liz of Corrales, Jimmy Sanchez and wife Jessica of Santa Rosa, six daughters Florence Silva of Santa Rosa, Gloria Sanchez of Bosque Farms, Martha Sanchez and husband Buck of Taos, Mary Tafoya and husband Andy of Colorado Springs, CO, Michelle Harrison and husband Dubs of Los Chavez, Christine Delgado and husband Richard of Sierra Vista, AZ, also surviving are two siblings his sister Amelia Sanchez and a brother Secundino Sanchez and his wife Sylvia both of Albuquerque, along with 29 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren along with a host nieces, and nephews including Father Bill Sanchez of Albuquerque and many other relatives and friends.
