MURRAY, DOROTHY JUNE Dorothy June Murray passed away on May 13, 2014 at the age of 80. Born June 19, 1933 in Espanola, NM, Dorothy grew up in Del Norte, Colorado. In 1955 she married her high school sweetheart, Wally Murray. In 1959 she and her husband moved to Albuquerque with their first child, and soon had their second. Albuquerque was where they made their home and reared their family. After 59 years of marriage Dorothy is survived by her husband, Wally; her two children, Laird Murray and Linnea Murray, and her two grandchildren, Chance Semones and Kili Murray, as well as her brother and sisters, nieces and nephews. Dorothy has enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and wife, and has always loved her family and friends, birds, flowers, music, visiting their cabin in Colorado, and so much more. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Brees, Kathy Fiolkoski, and Julie Walker; grandchildren, Shane, Michael, David, and Morgan; great-grandchildren, JoLynn, Cameron, Ravin, Kaylee, and Trystin. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mercy Jaramillo; son, Pete III; daughter, Michelle Romero and husband, Francisco; granddaughter, Jacquiline Amaris; beloved sister, Maclovia Lovato; and beloved sister-in-law, Priscilla Holtry. He was preceded in death by parents, Pedro & Carlotta; son, Herman; and daughter, Naomi. Herman retired from the Albuquerque Fire Department after 24 years of service. GREEN, LARRY DALE Age 55, born in Roswell, NM, died suddenly May 11, 2014. Larry grew up in several towns in New Mexico. He graduated from Moriarty High School in 1976 and went on to become an auto mechanic. He married Kathleen Josey in 1987 and retired from Quality Pontiac in 1998. After the birth of his daughter, Claire, Larry spent the next 16 years as a loving and caring stay at home father. Larry is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Claire; parents, Virginia and Gene Green of Tucumcari, NM; brother, Bruce Green of Rye, CO; sister, Wyla Green of Michigan; and mother-in-law, Anne Josey. He is also survived by five brothers and sisters-in-law and their spouses; 12 nieces and nephews; and one grand-niece. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Josey; and nephew, Matthew Josey. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. Her parents, Harold and Martha, brother Wayne Vanderford preceded her in death. She is survived by her long time partner and friend Carl Bayler of the home address; step-daughter; step-granddaughters; and many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Joy retired from JC Penneys as office manager. She also worked as a registrar coordinator at ACVB in Alb. for many years. A grave side service will be held on Saturday, May 17th at Sunset Memorial in Albuquerque at 2:00pm. COX, EARL JAMES &Quot;JIM&Quot; Age 87, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife Christina (Lopez) Cox. Jim is survived by four children. Victor Cox, James Cox, William Cox and Sally Hardy; three grandchildren, Jason Cox and William and Carly Hardy; and one great-grandson Austen Cox. An Honor Guard Memorial Service will be held this Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. We invite all that knew and loved Jim to come and join us. Jim and Christina raised their family in the small mountain community of Los Alamos, NM. It was the perfect place for him. He loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim was employed by the Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratories for 40 years until his retirement. All that knew him will forever cherish their memories of his loving and caring nature, along with his big smile and a quick wit.

COBB, HOLLY Helen Imlay Franchot Cobb, known to all as "Holly," was born November 22, 1925 in Buffalo, NY. She died May 10, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. She was an artist, a musician and a teacher. She was active in the environmental, peace, and World Federalist movements. Holly grew up in Manhattan and in Niagara Falls, NY. At age 11, she took a train to Santa Fe to attend Ernest Thompson Seton's summer camp. There, and in the Maine woods, she conceived her love for nature, later manifested in her art and in her work with Friends of the Earth. Holly attended Radcliffe College, where she got her AB in International Affairs. On a skiing trip to Tuckerman's Ravine, she met a Harvard Medical student, Jock Cobb. They were married for 67 years. His Public Health career took them to Maryland, New Mexico, Pakistan, and Colorado, with briefer stays in Togo, Indonesia, and China. Holly taught art and kindergarten. She always took her sketchbooks and paints along to remote parts of the world. She leaves a beautiful portfolio of paintings, and her note cards of peaks near their cabin in Alice, Colorado were widely distributed. She played the piano, directed a grade school band in Pakistan, and loved playing the soprano recorder, often accompanied by Jock on the cello. In retirement, Holly and Jock returned to Corrales, New Mexico, where she was active with the Tibet Resettlement Project. Holly was known for her quick wit and her love of words. She played a powerful game of Scrabble, could craft a pun or a rhyme out of any casual sentence, and wrote beautiful letters home from around the world. She is survived by her husband Jock; brother Dick Franchot; children Loren, Nat, Bethany and Julianne; wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many people she helped along the way. CIVEROLO, RICHARD CARL August 1, 1917 May 12, 2014 Age 96, passed away peacefully at his earthly home on May 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Albina Micheletti Civerolo; sister Primina Civerolo Golino; and brothers Peter, James, John, Edmund and Arthur Civerolo. Richard was also preceded in death in January 2011 by Mary, his wife of sixty-five years. Survivors include daughter Gina Civerolo and husband Dennis Smigiel, son Paul and wife Jennifer Civerolo, and grandsons Steven Civerolo, and Michael Civerolo and wife Jacqueline, and his faithful dog companion Nikki. He was the shareholder and founder of Civerolo, Gralow, Hall and Curtis. He graduated from the University of NM's first law school class in 1950 (B.A., 1950, Bachelor of Laws 1950, J.D., 1968). He was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, Kappa Sigma, Pi Sigma Alpha and was Special Assistant Attorney General, State of New Mexico 1962-1970. Richard was a proud member of the American Bar Association; (Chairman, Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee 1969-1977, Specialization Board 1979-1982, Cochairman, Medical-Legal Grievance Committee 1979-Present, Cochairman, Medical-Legal Liaison Committee 1984-Present, Member and Chairman, New Mexico Medical Review Commission 1983-Present); American Board of Trial Advocates (Member: National Executive Committee 1970-Present; National President 1979-1980); Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers; recipient of New Mexico State Bar 1997 Distinguished Bar Service Award, which recognizes long-term commitment to bar services and significant contributions to the legal profession. In 1992, he was honored by the New Mexico Medical Society with a special award for services to the public, the legal profession and the medical profession. (This was the first award given by the Medical Society to a New Mexico lawyer.) Captain, United States Army. Past State President of the New Mexico Cancer Society. AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell. CHOUINARD, CONSUELO MEYER (TINY) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7). Consuelo (Tiny) Meyer Chouinard passed to the Promised Land May 7, 2014 just as she lived her life, with dignity, grace and gentle strength. She had an immense spirit and brought love and joy to all around her. Connie lit up a room with her contagious smile and had a joyful, vibrant presence. Her selfless nature and faith in God knew no bounds. Born in El Rito, NM March 6, 1926 Connie was raised in Las Vegas, NM. Connie held education in high esteem; attending Historic Loretto Academy in Santa Fe and completed her High School education from Benjamin Franklin HS in Los Angeles. Further studies included Behavioral Science and Education from Loretto College in Denver, Highlands University, and the University of New Mexico. She was awarded a Bachelors and a Master's Degree. She was an original employee in Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project. Connie had a profound influence on NM youth, initially teaching Special Education, then Elementary Education for 33 years with APS. After retiring she was a substitute teacher and served as docent for the National Hispanic Cultural Center, El Rancho de las Golondrinas, and Maxwell Museum of Anthropology. She appreciated Arts and Culture, enjoyed playing the piano, and was a regular patron of Popejoy Hall events. She was an avid UNM Lobo fan. In the presence of God, Connie has now joined her son Richard and her parents Charles and Eloisa Meyer. Connie is survived by children, Donelle Murphy, David Chouinard, Patrice Wendlick (Scott), Lisa Chouinard (Steve), Victoria Chouinard, daughter-in-law Chris Chouinard, and stepson Mark Chouinard. Siblings, Marian Ackerman of Las Vegas, NM, Charles Meyer (Eda Mae) of Sun City, AZ, and Julius Meyer (Connie) of Albuquerque. 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Mortal time on earth is a vital training school. Death is but a gentle transition from one life to another. CAMPBELL, DORA LORRAINE &Quot;SISSY&Quot; Dora Lorraine "Sissy" Campbell, of Roswell, NM, died on Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 91. She was born on October 12, 1922 in Englewood, CO to George Arnold Seastone and Dora Helen Seastone. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1940 and attended the University of Denver. In 1942 she married William E. Core, and together they had one child, Andrew B. Core of Albuquerque, NM. Together they traveled as an Air Force family for 33 years. Her husband, Bill, preceded her in death in 1982. Lorraine found happiness again, and married Roy M. Campbell in 1984, increasing the number of family members she loved with his two children, Wallace Campbell of Roswell, NM and Martha Jaramillo of Las Cruces, NM. Her second husband, Roy, preceded her in death in 2002. During WWII and when Bill was away on temporary duty, Lorraine worked as a telephone operator for both Mountain Bell and Montgomery Wards. She was a long term volunteer for the Eastern NM Medical Center Auxiliary Thrift Store in Roswell, NM. She served as a dedicated a member of the Episcopal Church's altar guild in each parish she belonged to. She spent 36 years being a summer season resident of Creede, CO. There, she was as a diligent bridge player and bird watcher. She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as both of her husbands; her sister-in-law, Loraine Seaston; her son-in-law, Chris Jaramillo; and her beloved daughter-in-law, Nancy A. Core. Lorraine is survived by her son, Andy; her brother, Don A. Seastone; her cousin raised as a brother, John R. Spangler and his wife, Barbara; her two beloved grandchildren, Jane A. Core Yatzeck of Williamsburg, VA and Susan B. Core of Albuquerque, NM; three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, and Naomi; and her step family, Wally, Martha, Amanda, Ryan, Tucker, and Lottie. Contrary to her wishes of "just throw me in the river", there will be two services celebrating her memory. A memorial service will be held at St. Michael and All Angel's Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a mass held in her memory at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in Creede, CO on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lorraine's name to the Nature Conservancy. BLANCO, JOSE D. Age 47, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Mireles and husband, David; sons, Edward Ortiz-Blanco and Elias Vigil; grandchildren, Adam, Annabella, and Eithan; mother, Ernestine E. Blanco; sister, Charlotte Valdez and husband, Jonathan; grandmother, Carlotta Trujillo; uncles, Ronnie Trujillo and wife, Brenda, Richard Trujillo and wife, Linda, Allen Trujillo and wife, Cass, and Charles Trujillo and wife, Cynthia; along with extended family members and friends. Jose proudly served his country and retired from the New Mexico Army National Guard. He served two tours in Iraq, first in Desert Storm and again during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He began his nursing career at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute. He then earned his degree in nursing. Jose worked at the New Mexico Heart Hospital and most recently worked at University of New Mexico Hospital.
