WHEELER, LES Age 76, was born in Albuquerque, NM on January 28, 1938. He passed away June 6, 2014 with his family by his bedside. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Wheeler. Les and Phyllis enjoyed traveling, listening to and attending bluegrass festivals, sporting events of all kinds, and rooting for the Diamondbacks and Cowboys. He spent many hours on the golf course and hanging out with his vast array of friends. Les was a retired salesman who worked for Elder Quinn and McGill for numerous years. Les was truly loved and will be greatly missed by many. He is preceded in death by his mother Cassie Mae Hicks and step-father A.A. Hicks. He is survived by his son Randy, daughter-in- law Debbie, their children Derek, Shawn and Serena; his daughter Stacy Lewis, son-in-law Steve and their three daughters Stephani, Samantha and Sydney; sisters-in-law Lorraine Collums and Virgie Jerome; nephews, Bill Proffer and his wife Jeannette, Casey Proffer, Paul Jerome, Brad Collums; nieces, Tyra Proffer, JoDee Fanelli and husband J.R., Natalie Jerome; great-nephew Keith Collums; great-nieces Amanda Church and her husband Sam, Haley Johnson, her husband Joe and their baby Lily. WEINBRECHT, NANCY Nancy Weinbrecht passed from this life on May 29, 2014 at the age of 86. Born in San Antonio, Texas to John and Lyde Maher, she was a proud alumni of Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School. Nancy grew up in military families, first as the daughter of a career Army officer, then marrying Capt. John F. Weinbrecht in 1949. Nancy and John moved to Los Alamos in 1953 where they lived happily for over 30 years. She was very involved in church, community, and raising her family. Nancy later joined Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) as a computer programmer, supporting research at the Meson facility. After John's retirement from LANL in 1983, they moved to Albuquerque becoming active members of St. John's and later St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Nancy enjoyed traveling, grand-mothering, and mastering many different crafts. She is survived by son John Jr. and his wife Paulette of Oklahoma City, son Ed and his wife Kathleen of Edgewood; and grandchildren Eden, Eve, and Chelsey Weinbrecht, Shannon McCulloch, Rachelle Young, and Brent Blount. She was preceded in death by husband John after 60 wonderful years together, brother John E. Maher, and grandson Jeff Foster. A Memorial Service will take place Friday June 13, 2014 at 11:00 at St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE in Albuquerque. Nancy will be buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with John. A wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be sorely missed, but leaves a legacy of love, caring, and giving of herself. WEBB, JOHN L. JR. John Lester Webb, Jr. 8/17/46 - 6/3/14 Born to Marie and John Webb on 8/17/46 in Little Rock, Arkansas. John is survived by his wife Mary Ann; Son John III (Lezlee); Son James (Jennifer Spindel); Mother Marie; Brother Fred (Linda); Sister Linda Metcalfe (Dave Grandia); Sister Rita; Nephew Douglas Metcalfe; Niece Kimberly Delambre-Melloy (John); Special Friends Angela and Steve Horchheimer. John and Mary Ann lived in Seattle, WA but moved back to ABQ when he retired. John is a member of the IBEW Local 611. His career included Electrician, Foreman, General Foreman and Project Manager. He eventually became the co-owner of J&S Electric. His job took him to cities throughout New Mexico but he worked mostly in ABQ. He also worked in Saudi Arabia. John loved to tell stories about his time in Saudi Arabia and how he traveled throughout Europe when on vacation. He was an avid NASCAR and football fan. WAGNER, SHAWNA LEIGH Age 35, passed away unexpectedly May 29, 2013. She was born January 28, 1979 here and was a life ling resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her brother Jim D. Wagner IV and a daughter Zoe Sky Wagner. She is survived her husband, Jaeson; daughters Devon Marie and Sara Grace Huntsman; also by her father Jim D. Wagner IV; her mother, Jeri Sue Wagner nee Joyner, all of Albuquerque. Shawna enjoyed school and had attended both CNM and UNM. She like riding a unicycle and was a former member of Little Wheels Unicycle Club. As a young woman, she spent many happy hours riding horseback with her grandfather Jim D. Wagner III on his ranch near Alamogordo. Shawna's greatest love, however, were her two daughters, Devon and Sara. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and love of hip-hop and rap. Shawn's father would like to extend a special thanks to Sara Berry, Aisa Currey and Doug Crowder for the unflagging love and support you gave Shawna over the years. She was born in Boone, CO to the late Toribia and Juan Lira, and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Jenny enjoyed shopping, cooking, dancing and camping with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymundo E. Vallejos. Jenny is survived by her loving children, Ray Vallejos and wife Jana, Pat Vallejos and wife Laura, George Vallegos and wife Anita Mitchell, Debra Roybal and husband Lonnie, Linda Mansell, Judy Vallejos and her companion, Manuel Rodriguez; fifty grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. TEMPLE, RUBY MARIE Ruby, age 94, passed away on June 3, 2014 of natural causes. She is survived by two sons, one daughter-in-law, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ruby just lost her husband, James, of 73 years on April 9th of this year. Ruby was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 17, 1920 and moved to Albuquerque in 1948. Ruby was very creative; her hobbies included writing poetry, china painting, and she avidly sang in the Young at Heart's Choir. She was very spiritual and was a long standing member of the Christian Fellowship Church. Ruby loved people and considered everyone she met a friend. She was very much loved by all and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be announced later this summer.

SMITH, MITZI L. age 79, a resident of Los Lunas, born October 10, 1934 in Pecos Texas, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014. She lived and went to school in Wink, TX. After graduation, her family moved to El Paso where Mitzi attended college at Texas Western College (UTEP). She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Paso. Mitzi met her husband at Sacramento Church Camp in 1955, and they were married June 1, 1956. Together they moved to Albuquerque, after he was discharged from the Army in 1958, then to Los Chavez in 1966. Mitzi was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi, and an avid bowler. She worked with the youth at the First United Methodist Church in Belen and was a choir member. Mitzi is survived by her husband of 58 years, Irling S. Smith; and her sons, Craig Smith of Los Chavez and Scott C. Smith of Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM, at the First United Methodist Church, located at 75 Manzano Expressway, in Belen. SMITH, LEO ERNEST Leo Ernest Smith loving husband and father, born September 11, 1936, in Wellston, OK, returned to be with God on May 27, 2014. Leo is survived by his adoring wife, Shirl Smith of Los Lunas, NM; and three children, Katrina, Leo T. and Kevin Smith, their spouses and 12 grandchildren. Affectionately known as Smitty to many, those fortunate enough to know him, from his early ministry in Washington through his decades with the railroad in California to retirement in New Mexico, will continue to love, honor and be blessed with his presence in our hearts and prayers. SENA, FAUSTIN &Quot;GENE&Quot; E. SGT, U.S. ARMY (RET) age 66, died on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Albuquerque VA Medical Center from complications due to illness. In and out of the hospital for nine months prior to his death, Faustin died happy and peacefully. He leaves behind his daughter, Genieen Sena; son, Adam Sena; grandson, Raymond Thomas, all of Albuquerque NM; son, Alex Sena and his wife Priscilla; grandchildren, Litisha and Eric, all of Clayton, NM; and son Faustin Sena Jr. and his wife Trudy; grandchildren, Gina, Gino, Jamie; and great-grandchild Faustina, all of Clayton NM. He was preceded in death by his daughter Monica David, in 2005, his mother Maria Sena, in 2003, and father Alfredo Sena, in 1997. Born in Clovis, New Mexico May 6, 1948 where his father worked for the railroad, Faustin enjoyed his youth and helped his mother and father raise his brothers Alfredo Jr., Gilbert, and sisters Flora, Cora, and Betty. In January 1967 he joined the U.S. Army and became part of the 2nd Battalion 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division of the Black Lions. While proudly serving his country he was wounded in the Vietnam War in October of 1967 and received both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Faustin continued his service to our country as he became a Medical Records File Clerk at the VA Hospital where he worked many years before being medically retired from several issues related to his time in Vietnam. After retiring from the VA Hospital, Faustin loved going fishing; going to the casino (Route 66) and spending time with his family. Faustin was easy going and had a positive outlook on life and even in the most serious situations he would make you laugh and say things were alright. His crazy sense of humor and magnetic personality drew people to become his good friends. Faustin was a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1966 and served as the Treasurer for many years. He also volunteered to be a caregiver for fellow veterans. Faustin spent the last nine months of his life, everyday, cared for by his son Adam. Faustin was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Services to be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 550 Atrisco Dr. SW Albuquerque NM on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00am for family members and friends wishing to say good bye to Faustin followed by a military burial in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30pm with U.S. Army retired honors. PRESTON, JANYCE KERR "JAN" Passed from this earthly life on June 2, 2014 after a very short illness. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rich; and their four children Doug Preston of McMinnville, OR, Ethan Preston and wife, Jennifer Stojak of Phoenix, AZ, Ben Preston of Houston, TX, and daughter Beky and husband Blair Dunn of Albuquerque, NM; and her sister Marsha and husband Don Anderson of San Antonio, TX. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Kole, Harper, Jack, Archie, and Gus. She was born November 22, 1946 to Jack and Rita (Rodgers) Kerr of Albuquerque. Educated in Albuquerque prior to college, she attended the University of New Mexico and was graduated with high honors with a degree in Latin American Studies in 1968. She then attended Tulane University and was graduated in 1970, also with a degree in Latin American Studies. She and Rich Preston were married February 3, 1969 in Albuquerque. Jan was blessed with and endeavored to develop many gifts throughout her life, including the ability to speak five languages. Her kind and friendly disposition welcomed others to be at ease; she had many friends and a very close family. She was exceptionally blessed with the ability to work with children, teaching and guiding them to develop their unique talents, which she truly loved. She loved teaching and being a mother to her own children, whom she treasured and loved dearly. With her husband, she was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for nearly 35 years. Her loss to those around her is felt deeply. Funeral arrangements have been set for 11:00 am, Monday, June 9, 2014, at the LDS Chapel located at 11750 San Victorio NE, Albuquerque, NM. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 9:00 am until just before the funeral. Additional services will be performed at a later date. PAGE, CONSTANCE E. Constance E. Page, born October 16, 1927 in London, England passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her two loving daughters Laura A. Lowery and Susan L. Cheshire in Albuquerque, NM on Friday morning May 23, 2014. Connie lived happily for the last 12 years in a comfortable abode added on for her and her husband "Laurie" at Villa Lynette. Completed in 1994, Villa Lynette was the last home Laurie and Connie built together and is so named in honour of the street in London of their very first flat together. Connie is survived by her sisters and brother in England: Sylvia, Pam, and Ted, her four children, Steven Page and his wife Karen of Lincoln Nebraska, Susan L. Cheshire and her husband Steve of Albuquerque, Laura A. Lowery and her husband Charles of Albuquerque, and Scott E. Page and his wife Marcia of Denver, Colorado. Connie is also survived by her grandchildren: Christy Poska and her husband Scott with great-granddaughter Kaitlyn, Kevin Page and his wife Michelle, Blaine Cheshire and his wife Emily with great-grandson Gil, Colin Cheshire, Derek Cheshire and his wife Jessica with great-grandson Griffith, Meghan Finger and her husband David, Nathan Page and his wife Jennifer, Geoffrey Page, and Amy Page. Connie is preceded in death by her soul mate and devoted husband of 65 years Laurence E. "Laurie" Page, her sisters Elsie, Iris, and Winifred and brothers Len and Les, all in England, and most recently by her beloved grandson Mitchell L. Lowery. Connie was evacuated during WWII when war broke in Europe in 1939, she with all the other children in London were evacuated to the country where they were billeted out to private homes. When she was 16 she returned to London in spite of the bombings because she was homesick and greatly missed being with her family. Connie arrived in America with Laurie on January 29, 1953 from England in search of a better life with her two small children Steve and Sue. Connie was beside Laurie through thick and thin and together they owned and fixed up many residential properties in the Albuquerque area. Connie was also very successful as the Owner and Proprietor of Kiddie Korner Nursery School in southeast Albuquerque; she loved teaching and raising young children. Connie retired from and sold the nursery school to travel extensively with her dear Laurie whom she loved very much. Connie and Laurie were inseparable and did everything together. A private service will be held for Connie at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honour of Constance E. Page.
