CICHON, FRANK A. On June 17th Frank A. Cichon passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe. He is preceded in death by his ex-wife Patricia Cichon (Mikulic), his parents, Helen and Frank Cichon, and sister, Theresa Marshall. He was born in Chicago, IL to Helen and Frank Cichon on September 7, 1937. He married Patricia Mikulic (also from Chicago) in 1959 and had three children. He worked for ITT in Chicago for many years then the family moved to Los Alamos, NM in 1980. There he worked for EG& G as well as Los Alamos Public Schools. He remarried in 2006 to Beverly Taylor of Los Alamos, NM. He is survived by his wife Beverly Taylor of Los Alamos; sister, Lorraine Stepanek and husband Jim of Chicago, IL; William Cichon and wife Jerolyn of Elko, NV; Cindy McLaughlin and husband Scott of Longmont, CO; Sue Cichon of Rio Rancho, NM; and his two grandchildren, Sara McLaughlin of Longmont, CO and Aaron McLaughlin of Fort Collins, CO. Funeral Services will be held in Doniphan, MO at a later date and his remains will be buried at the Pulaski Catholic Cemetery in Doniphan near his mother, father, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and sister.

CHAVEZ, LEO Leo, 74, went to be with our Lord on Thursday June 19, 2014. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Garza Chavez; and his daughter Amanda Kathleen Chavez. He is survived by his sons: Mark Leo Chavez and wife Lisa, David Ernest Chavez and girlfriend Valery Romero; daughter, Yvonne Christine Olona and husband Nick; brother, Jerry Chavez and wife Josie; sisters: Priscilla Baca, and Belinda Sandoval and husband Joe; grandchildren: Veronica Poulin, Nathan Olona, and Celina Olona; great grandchildren: Adam, Jayden, and Noah Poulin. Leo was a member of St Therese Catholic Church. Leo's Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Monday from 2-4:00 p.m. in the Floral Chapel at Salazar Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Monday night at 6:00 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church (3424 Fourth St. NW 87107.) BARNETT, MAY FAIR Age 90, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. She and her twin brother, Glen Dair Bowman, were born on August 6, 1923 in Hulver, TX. He passed away just two short months before she did. May Fair was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jess Meacham in 1988; her second husband, Barney Barnett in 2006; brother, C.B. Bowman; and sister, Del Ray House. She is survived by her children, Joe Meacham and Pam Meacham; many nieces, nephews, extended family members; her daughter's friends, who thought of her as a second mother, and her faithful companion, Max the cat. May Fair will always be remembered for her love of fun and great flair for life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014, 1:00 p.m., at FRENCH-Westside. BALLEJOS, GILBERTO CHAVEZ Gilberto Chavez Ballejos Age 78, was born in Abo, New Mexico on July 14, 1935 to Crucita Chavez Ballejos and Pablo Sisneros Ballejos. Gilbert graduated from Mountainair High School in 1953 as class president, Carnival King and was voted "Most Likely To Succeed." Gilbert served in the U.S. Army, he volunteered for and graduated from "Jump School" at Fort Campbell, KY; he then served as a qualified paratrooper with the 11th Airborne division stationed in Augsburg, Germany. Gilbert received his Masters degree from the University of Albuquerque. Throughout his life, Gilbert was a devoted educator and political activist. His grandchildren will remember him as their "most focused math teacher." He died of natural causes at his home in Albuquerque on Friday, June 13th. He is survived by his sons Monte Smith Ballejos and Elfego Emiliano Ballejos; grandchildren Isabella and Aristeo; brothers George Chavez and Federico Ballejos; and nephew Pablo Ballejos. ARMIJO, ANTONIO E. Antonio E. Armijo passed away suddenly on Monday 6/9/14. He was preceded in death by wife, Rita Armijo and son Andy J. Armijo. He is survived by daughters Shelma Sammi Armijo, Kris Armijo-Valles; his sons Gory, Antonio Sweeps and Michael. Granddaughter Andrea Valdez and family. Grandson Derek Armijo and family. Antonio served in the Korean War and retired from the US Postal Service after 34 years of service.

DIPPERT, PATRICIA ANN Patricia Ann Dippert, beloved wife of Dave Dippert, passed away on June 13, 2014, she was 66 years old. She was born on June 23, 1947 in Butte, MT. She is survived by her three sons: Don Dippert, Jerry Speis, and Michael Speis; her two daughters: Vickie Gallegos and Sherrie Rojas; fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She retired from Digital Equipment Corporation in 1993. TANNER, JOHN EMERY 92 years old. Resident of Edgewood, N.M. since 1971, died on June 23, 2014, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna; his children, Charles Wayne Tanner and wife, Mary, Sharon Hernandez, Sheryl Padilla and husband, Earl, John David Tanner and wife, Jeanette, Susan Saunders, Thomas Tanner, and Teresa Tanner. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He served 23 years in the United States Air Force. He enlisted in 1941 in the Army/Air Corps and served in the Pacific in World War II. He was born in Murphy, North Carolina, on February 5, 1922. He has traveled all over the world serving his country. He was a wonderful husband, provider, father, and loved by many. He touched many people with his humor and generous spirit.
