RAMOS, DAMON R. On June 24, 2014, our world changed forever. Our light, our love, our sunshine, left us to live without his gentle generous heart, his beautiful smile, and his loving touch. Damon Ramos, "Sweetie", "Lil Buddy," passed into the next life. We will miss him every moment. He was gifted to us on a beautiful autumn day, October 23, 1993. It was our privilege and honor to love him for 20 years. He is survived by his loving parents, Paula and Robert Lockwood; his "Nana," Sara Ray; his "Coco and Papa," Sarah and Pat Lockwood; his brothers, Christian Ray and Brandon Ray; his uncles, Michael Ray and Brent Ray; his aunt, Mary Dickerson, and her husband, Wayne; cousins, Brandy and BJ Ray and Adriene and Blair Dickerson. Other survivors include his friend, Kyle Fosbinder; family friend, Kevin Kearney; and Damon's cat, "Gucci". There are so many family and friends who will miss him. "D" grew up in Albuquerque and was a student at SIPI. Damon was an avid skateboarder and video-gamer. He was born to the To'ahd'lin'ii clan and born for Nakaii Dine. Services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-Westside. Interment will follow thereafter at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Boulevard NE. MACKIE, DANIEL E., CPA 1936 - 2014 Daniel Earl Mackie, 77, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was suddenly called home to our Lord on June 20, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. He was surrounded by his loving family as he embarked on his journey. Daniel is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eugenia Carol Mackie. He served honorably in the US Air Force where, at Cannon AFB in Clovis, NM he met Eugenia, his soul mate, and married May 27, 1957. They recently celebrated their 57th anniversary. Daniel attended Eastern NM University where he graduated with highest honors. He is also survived by his children Lisa Mackie (Maryland), Linda Mackie (Albuquerque) and Mark Mackie (Atlanta); his four loving grandchildren, Gavin Grant, Alexis Holwerda, Spencer Mackie, Griffin Mackie and his brother Dennis Mackie and wife Patricia of Nebraska. Daniel's parents Neva and Homer, his brother Bill, his sisters Peggy, Betty and Mildred plus his in-laws Grady and Ernestine Tucker were waiting for him in heaven. Daniel was the owner of Mackie & Company and co-owner of Mackie, Reid & Company, Certified Public Accountants for most of his adult life. In November 2013 he was honored with a "50 Years of Excellence" award from the NM Society of CPA's. Dan's heart and soul went into building the business to where it was when he recently semi-retired. Dan also leaves behind those friends, associates, and clients that meant so much to him. His love and devotion to his family is what will be most remembered. As Dan would say, my number is up I won't be far away, for life goes on. You've received my wisdom. I know you will carry on. A CELEBRATION OF DANIEL'S LIFE will be held at the French Lomas location at 10500 Lomas NE on Sunday, June 29, 2014. A public viewing will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the Celebration from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm and a reception with Dan's favorite cookout BBQ from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. We look forward to meeting friends, clients and everyone who has been touched by Dan in some way. Please come share your story in our celebration of his wonderful, inspirational and amazing life. LOPEZ, ARMANDO Born on 1/16/45 and passed on Monday, 6/23/14. Armando, age 69, was a beloved father and brother. Devoted to his grandchildren, he is missed every day and will forever hold a special place in all our hearts. Longtime member of American Legion Post 49. Preceded in death by son Joseph Lopez, parents Emilia and Frank Lopez, sister Selena Lopez, brothers Robert and Norbert Lopez. Survived by daughter, Kathy Duran and spouse Andy; grandchildren Kristina Durham and spouse Steven, Joshua Duran, and Emilia and Ronnie Hawbaker; brothers Frank Lopez Jr. and wife Nancy, Joe Lopez and wife Joyce, Irvin Lopez and wife Diane, and Danny Lopez and companion Lori; with numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday 6/30 at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church.

KIRKLAND, KARIN Karin passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 23rd. She was and is much loved and will be missed by her family, husband Russ of 53 years; daughters Lee Ann and Dana; sons-in-law Patrick and John; granddaughters Holly and Hillary; and her sister, Jane and her family; as well as countless dear friends. Karin was born in Morgantown, WV. She graduated from McKeesport High School in McKeesport, and attended Grove City College, both in PA. Russ and Karin moved to Socorro in 1979 to operate the Sears catalogue store, and Karin subsequently owned and operated the JC Penney catalogue store. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and had passions for gardening, jewelry making, and animal welfare. She volunteered with APAS and worked at the Socorro city animal shelter. Services will be held Saturday, June 28th at 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church in Socorro. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Animal Humane Society would be appreciated.

EUSTACE, LINDA Linda Eustace, aged 67, died peacefully on June 24, 2014, at home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a brief struggle with health issues. Linda was born on November 11, 1946 and was a member of Cochiti and Zuni Pueblos. She was the daughter of Ben and Felicita Eustace. Linda was a jeweler, painter and author. She loved spending time with friends and talking about life. She attended Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque for a number of years before deciding to go to Calvary Chapel in Nob Hill. She wanted to worship God and Christ at a missionary church that was in the heart of Albuquerque and in a place that needed spiritual support. In 1963 she married the love of her life Robert McCallister Jones the II. She meet him in West Virginia while she was in the Job Corps. They were the proud parents of one son. Linda is survived by mother Felicita Eustace; son Robert Eustace Jones; siblings, Bernadette, Christine, Mary Jane, Jolene, Lambert, Eileen and Denise; many other nieces and nephews. There will be a private viewing for the immediate family, and a public ceremony for friends and family. The services will be held at 2:00 on Monday, June 30th at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.

YOUNG, WILLIAM F. CAPTAIN CWO3, USCG 10/6/36 - 6/28/11 It's three years since Bill has gone to the Lord to ask all the questions of his wonderful curiosity and knowledge. The Lord kept you strong and good and successful in your Coast Guard career, saving lives and moulding young sailors. He was J.F.K's security vessel captain, then master mariner all over the world, teaching foreign crews. As Jemez Mt. Inn owner, Jemez Pueblo boys went to sea in tall ships: Malcolm, Santano and Donovan. He was a choir boy all his life, loving his God, his music, and his family: sharing knowledge, life and joy. Until we meet again, God bless you dearest dad, husband Bill, brother, uncle and grandfather.

WEAVER, LENA NORENE Lena Norene Webb Weaver passed away at home in Albuquerque, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the age of 98. She was born in the village of Lasca, Alabama, on July 7, 1915, the daughter of Thomas Lafayette Webb and Sarah Elizabeth Gibson Webb. She was a homemaker, lived a humble life, and was kind, gentle, and helpful to many during her life; she will be greatly missed. Norene deeply loved her large and extended family, honored God, and was especially fond of children, animals, reading, music, travel, crossword puzzles, and the old CBS soap operas. Norene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Benjamin Weaver, grandson James 'Barney' Koestler, great grandson Zachary Koestler, and siblings Annie Mae Dennis, Lillie Myrl Petty, Joseph Francis Webb, Benjamin Jackson Webb, and Preston Webb. She is survived by daughter Carolyn Ann Koestler of Vicksburg; son Keith Wayne Weaver of Albuquerque; four grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandson; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. All funeral services and the burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Semmes, Alabama (Lott/Spice Pond Roads). VIGIL, MINNIE L. Minnie L. Vigil, age 83, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Chamisal, New Mexico went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Paz and Leonarda Lopez; sisters, Fabiola Dominquez and Bertha Maestas; six brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and several nephews and nieces. Minnie had a big heart and welcomed everyone into her home. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Alfonso Vigil; her daughter Yvonne and husband Joe Salazar; grandchildren, Jessica, Joey, and Joseph who was the light of her life; sisters, Betty Arrant, Rose Gonzales, Naomi Elizondo (Juan), Bella Armigo (Valerio); brothers, Jose Paz Lopez Jr. (Eulogia), Paul Lopez (Teresa), Leroy Lopez (Valentina); a niece and nephew raised as siblings, Dorothy Gonzales and Jake King; numerous nieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews. SIEVERS, JUANITA D. Passed away at her home in Bend, Ore., on June 24, 2014, at the age of 99. She was born to John and Ortha (West) Bryan in Humboldt, KS. on March 1, 1915. Juanita graduated from Emporia State Teachers College in 1935 with her teaching certificate and went to work in a one room school house outside of Humboldt. In 1936, she married Clarence Sievers and together they had four boys. Juanita had many joys in life but she particularly loved gardening, cooking and being in nature. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Sievers. She is survived by her sons Rodney, Ronald, Bryan and Lawrence; as well as three grandsons Jacen, Jesse and Justin.

JAMES, THOMAS A. 81, passed away on May 20, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was born January 4, 1933 in Albuquerque, NM, one of ten children. Thomas married his love, Linda Marie James on October 6, 1956, a union that lasted 45 years. Thomas was a Navy Seabee from 1951 to 1954, a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitter's Union Local 412 for 43 years and was the owner of James Mechanical Contractors in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Upon retirement, Thomas moved to Williamsburg, New Mexico and was the Village Mayor for two years. He started his final career with Century 21 Real Estate where he worked for over twenty years. Thomas is survived by two sisters, Carol Brennan and Barbara James; son Thomas I. James, daughter Janet Miner; three grandchildren Lindsey M. Robinson (Aaron) Ashley James and Brandon James; three great-grandchildren Carissa, Allison and Bethany Robinson. His beloved wife, Linda Marie James preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 12:00 PM at the Moose Lodge 2050, Truth or Consequences, NM.

RIVERA, ELIAS JUAN born December 17, 1961 went to our Lord in heaven on Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Eli Rivera. Elias is survived by his wife, Wilma J. Rivera; son, Martin L. Rivera; daughter, Barbara R. Rivera; mother, Enedina L. Rivera; brothers, Raul L. Rivera and Leonard C. Rivera; step-daughter, Allison Jones and husband Paul and daughters, Nia and Eve; step-daughter, Grace Cachora and husband Rayfield and children Xavier, Raven and Xion; step-daughter, Mary Pablito and husband, Javin and children, Isaiah Ross, Javin and Abby; many aunts, uncles, cousins as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Elias grew up in Sile, N.M., he enjoyed working on cars and working on the farm. Elias loved to listen and tell stories to his family. He also liked helping others. Services will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Sile, N.M. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 9:00am with Burial to follow at St. Barbara Cemetery. Estella was born in Corona, New Mexico and went to New Mexico State University where she earned her Associates Degree in Education. MINER, JANET 52, entered eternal life on Sunday June 15, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born June 29, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM to Thomas and Linda James. After graduating from Manzano High School in 1979, Janet began working for her father at James Mechanical Contractors. Janet married Daniel Miner in March, 1983 and moved to Casper, Wyoming where her daughter, Lindsey was born. Janet returned to New Mexico to pursue a career in sales in the carpet and tile industry. Janet returned to Truth or Consequences to care for her father and worked as the Business Office Manager for Sierra Vista Hospital. Janet was a strong, dedicated and loving mother, wife, grandmother, friend and employee and she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Janet is survived by her daughter Lindsey; son-in-law Aaron; and three beloved granddaughters Carissa, Allison and Bethany; as well as her brother Thomas James and his two children Ashley and Brandon. Janet was preceded in death by her mother and father, Thomas and Linda James. A combined memorial service to honor both Janet and her father Thomas James (May 20, 2014) will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 12:00 PM at the Moose Lodge 2050, Truth or Consequences, NM.
