GOMEZ, PATRICIO D. age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, born in Brady, TX, passed away on April 18, 2013. Mr. Gomez is survived by his wife of Graciela; children, Erlinda Saxon and husband, Mike, Patricia Nunez and husband, Erasmo, Miguel Gomez and wife, Rafaela, Oscar Gomez and wife, Ana, Tomas Gomez and wife, Sylvia, Hilda Aragon and husband, Joseph, Roberto Gomez and wife, Lori, Pilar Segura and husband, Albert, and Amado Gomez; twenty-eight grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation was Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension and a Rosary was recited at 3:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday, April, 22, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. SANCHEZ, MICHAEL JAMES Age 48, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away May 21, 2013. He was born on March 28, 1965 to Gillie and Louise (Le'Doux) Sanchez. Michael graduated from Del Norte High School in 1983. He is survived by his mother, Louise Sanchez; his sisters, Catherine Trottier and husband Gary Trottier of Colorado Springs, CO and Janet Muenz of Albuquerque; nieces Tracey Trottier of Colorado Springs, CO, and Alicia Muenz of Albuquerque; nephew, Sean Trottier and wife Shanna Trottier; great niece, Amaya Trottier of Littleton, CO; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gillie Sanchez; brother, Chris Sanchez, and brother in law, Steve Muenz. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time at Conchas Lakes with friends. He loved his family very much and was always there when someone needed a helping hand. The Sanchez Family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for all their care and comfort. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 8:30 am - 9:30 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services-Carlisle Chapel. SANCHEZ, FRANK A. "Don Pancho" Born on March 9, 1922, passed from this life on May 16, 2013. Don Pancho went to join the love of his life Elvira and four sons in Heaven. He was born in Deming, New Mexico and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Don Pancho is survived by his two loving daughters, Joann and Patricia Sanchez; three sons, Richard, Kenneth and Tommy; two sisters, Ramona and Natalia; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Mass will be held on May 28, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., St. Therese Little Flower Church, 4th/Mildred.

MAUZY, LAMONTE DEE Age 53, passed into the kingdom of heaven on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. The son of Janet and Eddy M. Mauzy, Monty was born in Farmington, New Mexico but moved to Mesa, Arizona where he graduated from Mt. View High School. Later he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he became a resident for many years. He is survived by his two daughters, Samantha and Charlene; step daughter Mary; and grandson Levy; brothers Morry, Joe, Eddy (Gene); and sister Lisa. Monty joins his daughter Ayla in heaven whom passed away on October 19, 2012. They both will be remembered for their love and offer of friendship and will be forever loved and missed until we are all reunited in heaven again. A remembrance service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Route 66 Casino Hotel (ask at the Hotel Front desk). Interment services for Monty will be at Memorial Gardens, 6917 E. Main St., Farmington, New Mexico with date set at a later time.

MARZ, PEARL At age 87, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed peacefully from life on May 7, 2013, joining her husband of more than sixty years, Gayle Marz. Whether preparing a prizewinning meal, creating heirloom quilts, crafting handmade Christmas ornaments, interior decorating, or collecting unique antiques, Perli's artistic talents fill our homes and hearts. Her grandchildren Troy Rush, Devon and Keaton Mullis, Alexandra Smith, Allison and Hannah Freedman, Allison Harris and her great-grandchildren Anastasia and Josephine Smith brought her great joy. She also loved entertaining, cracking jokes, telling stories, especially about being the youngest of ten children, reciting Shakespeare and teaching everyone the Charleston. Perli and Gayle developed lasting friendships through the FBI and as formidable players in their bridge clubs and spent many wonderful years traveling together in their RV and with their friends throughout the US, Mexico and Canada. Perli was known to invite strangers without family to Thanksgiving and served as a Meals On Wheels volunteer for years. Her hospitality and generosity will be remembered by all. A private family memorial celebration is being held in her honor.

LOPEZ, PAUL F. Age 44, born on March 7, 1969 in Albuquerque, passed away on May 20, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Luis Montano; grandmother Estifanita Clark; brother Genie Boy; nephews Larry Joe and Tony; and nieces Diana and Estrella. He is survived by his parents Ildefonso and Isabel Dominguez; children, daughters Jessica, Denise, Tianna, Veronica, Alycia, Angelina, Ashley and his son Andrew; sisters Ida and Larry Munoz, Jeannette and Henry Gomez, Mary and Phillip Martinez, Darlene and Charles Flores, Dolores and Deio Cotinola, Frances and Marvin Roybal, Epi and Carlos Mirabal; and brother Ray and Yvette Dominguez. Paul was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. Services will be at St. Anne's Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, 8:15am with Rosary and Mass to follow. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7997 Wyoming Blvd, NE, following the Mass. Pall bearers will be Andrew Lopez, Enrique Gomez, Daniel Dominguez, Adam Roybal, Nathon Cotinola & Ray Dominguez.

KELLY, DENNIS E. Age 70, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013. He was born in Sterling, IL on June 16, 1942. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Kelly of Albuquerque, NM; his sister Maureen Kelly of Chicago; niece Aimee' Mahan, Chicago; brother-in-law Arvid Johnsen and wife Kathleen of Florida; nephew William Johnsen of Arizona; and niece Julie Johnsen of California. Dennis will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Dennis served on active duty in the United States Army for ten years. He was actively involved in a variety of business interests. Dennis was a volunteer business counselor for SCORE. He handled all veterans affairs and veteran businesses for them. He worked for the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He found veterans who needed medical attention and steered them to Bruce Gibson at the MOPH. Dennis and Bruce and other employees at the Military Order of the Purple Heart got numerous veterans their VA disability benefits. Dennis was a great mentor. He was a career counselor and helped many younger veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan transition to civilian life. Every month Dennis spoke to active duty service members who were out processing from military and told them about the benefits of starting their own businesses. Dennis counseled veterans on their health, whether it was exercise, diet, preventive medicine, supplements. He was an expert on PTSD and was able to educate veterans on their symptoms and how to counter symptoms. Dennis was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 25, 2013 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St. NE, Albuquerque with a reception to follow. HENRY, KATHLEEN WILLIAMS Age 64, died on May 17th after a brief illness. She is survived by Richard Henry, her husband of 42 years; Richard Harry Williams, her brother, of Crestview FL; and nieces and nephews. Kathleen was born into a military family and grew up in Orlando, FL. She is an alumna of Florida State University with a degree in accounting. She worked in several state agencies in Tallahassee, primarily for the Florida Department of Financial Services. The novels of Tony Hillerman inspired the Henrys' first visit to New Mexico. After several more visits they were in love with the state and retired here in 2006. At a later date, Kathleen will be interred at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, where Richard one day will join her.

The service will be at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church at Alameda and 4th St NW on Tuesday, May 28th, 2013. The Rosary will be at 8:00 a.m., the Mass will be at 9:00 a.m., and we will have a celebration of Ron's life direclly after the Mass in the church hall.

He was born in Socorro, Texas and lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico before moving to Albuquerque. He was preceded by death by his late wife, Ana Maria S. Garcia. He is survived by his children, Mary E. Chavez and husband Paul, Eulogio Garcia, Susan R. Gallegos and husband David, Ramon J. Garcia, Jr., Genoveva Garcia, Arturo Ricardo Garcia and Lisa E. Olguin and husband Ron. He is also survived by five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. There will be a private service in El Paso, Texas.

CHANEY, PATRICIA ANN CARPENTER PETERSEN Age 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died May 21, 2013. She is survived by her son Krist Petersen and his wife Garlene of Las Cruces; brother Frank Carpenter and his wife Nancy of Boise, ID; grandchildren Kristine and Michael of Las Cruces; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Patt was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Madge Carpenter of Visalia, CA and husbands Pete Petersen and Bill Chaney. Patt was born in Illinois, raised in California, but found her true home in New Mexico. She and Pete were licensed Indian traders and had a deep abiding love for Native American Arts. She and Pete traveled all over the world and made friends everywhere they went. After Pete's death she married Bill Chaney. She and Bill continued her passion for travel until his death. Patt was a founding member of Christ United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, where she and Pete sponsored the college-aged youth group for many (many) years. As a result, she has "kids" everywhere. Services will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 6200 Gibson Blvd. S.E., Albuquerque with Pastor Kimberly Kinsey officiating. BUTLER, ELIZABETH ANNE Beth, age 59, of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, May 12th, at her home after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by husband, Charles (Chuck); her mother, Mary Getchell; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Karin, and their children Connor and Elora; and brothers, Stephen, Matthew, and Luke Getchell. A graduate of Whitesboro High School in NY state and long-time resident of Remsen, NY, Beth moved to NM to help care for her grandchildren in 2001. She nurtured children throughout her life and, in recent years, became a preschool teacher. She loved to read, observe nature, and, most of all, spend time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed. A memorial wake will be held at her son's home on Sunday, May 26th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. The wake is open to family and friends. BRYANT, BOBBY DALE &Quot;BOOG&Quot; long-time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 18, 2013. He was born to Leona Bryant McGann in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 22, 1937, and graduated from Vernon High School in Vernon, Texas in 1955. Bob served in the United States Army, worked for many years for Santa Fe Trails Trucking, and eventually retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Lanette Bryant; a daughter, Kelley Ferguson and her partner, Mike Acosta, of Duncan, Arizona; a son, Russell "Rusty" Bryant and his wife Lily, of Albuquerque; and two step-daughters, Julie McGowan and her husband, Marty, of Albuquerque, and Janet Krause and her husband, Mark, of Phoenix, Arizona. Bob was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, with two more on the way. Having never met a stranger, Bob also leaves behind a host of friends. Bob's greatest pleasure in life was making other people laugh. We mourn his passing, but celebrate the gift of his presence in our lives.
