SAXTON, ERLE (JIM) SPENCER Age 74, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2013 with his daughter and sister by his side. Throughout his life, Jim never lost the twinkle in his eye, his amazing sense of humor or his ability to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those around him. Jim was born in Sacramento, California on December 23, 1938 to Erle and Jane Saxton. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona and, following in his Dad's footsteps, went to work for Shell Oil. Jim spent many happy years living in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked for Giant Industries and filled his life with golf and many good friends. Following his retirement from the oil business, Jim found an outlet for his caring, loving nature working in the funeral industry. Beginning in Albuquerque and most recently with Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, Jim was always a beacon to those who needed his strength including his many friends and family. He touched the lives of all he encountered during his lifetime and his loss is felt greatly by so many.
