POOL, ROBBIE LOUISE &Quot;BOBBIE&Quot; Robbie L. "Bobbie", Sarrels Pool died on Saturday, October 26, 2013, with peace and grace. Bobbie was born July 29, 1922, in Abilene, Texas, the fifth of seven children born to Reuben Vance and Callie Mae Carter Sarrels. She was the last survivor of her generation of siblings and in-laws. The Sarrels family lived in Anson, Texas until 1936 and then moved to Abilene. Bobbie and Robert Lloyd Pool met at a dance in her family home in 1938 and married in 1941. Bobbie and Lloyd created a family, a home and a business together. They lived in Abilene, Hereford, and Arlington, Texas before moving to Albuquerque in 1987. They spent many summers in their motor home in the mountains of Colorado. Following Lloyd's death in 2000, Bobbie took many road trips with her daughter to enjoy the great-grandchildren and the beauty of America. Bobbie was a creative, artistic woman who expressed herself through piano, singing, drawing, painting furniture, gardening, sewing and knitting. The homes in which she and Lloyd lived were filled with handiwork from both of them. When she was 65 years old, Bobbie bought a computer, learned how to use it and computerized the family business. She was known by many names, Bobbie, Mother, Mimi and Big Mimi, and those who loved her knew that her names embodied love, sweetness, intelligence, strength and determination. She brought grace and geniality to any gathering and was a rock for her family. Bobbie is survived by daughter Kathryn Yarbrough and her husband Mark of Sandia Park, New Mexico; grandson Jake Yarbrough, his wife Lynita, and their daughters Sofia and Gabriela of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter Emily Smith, her husband Tom, and their children Matthew and Kathryn of Ada, Michigan. She is also survived by a legacy of inspiration to all who knew her. Bobbie was always active in the Presbyterian Churches in their hometowns. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St. NE, Albuquerque, where a service in celebration of love, thanksgiving and a life well lived will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. In a private service, Bobbie will be interred with Lloyd at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of The Woodmark Assisted Living Residence, Presbyterian Hospice and Home Instead for their loving care of Bobbie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church Endowment Foundation, 215 Locust NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
