VARGAS, DAVID AND MARY Dad, today we are celebrating your 92nd birthday just as we celebrated Mom's birthday 14 days ago on February 18. Tomorrow, March 4th we will celebrate your 74th wedding anniversary. We know that on these special days you and your beautiful bride, our mother, are holding hands happy as only two people in love can be. Both of you gave us life and nourished not only our bodies and our minds, but our souls as well. How fortunate we were to have had you as our parents. How can we ever thank you. There are no words on this earth that can describe the love we have for both of you, the gratitude for all that you did for us and the emptiness and sorrow in our hearts. But, you are together for all eternity and that makes us happy and soothes the grief we endure each and every day. Dad, eventhough it's been 16 years since you went to meet your God and Savior and the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom you worshipped and prayed to everynight, we remember vividly the Irish prayer you left us with, "May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, may the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may he hold you in the palm of his hand". And so, Mom and Dad, we love and miss you and until we meet again may he hold you in the palm of his hand con carino y amor. Sonny y tu familia.
