Obituary for SWETKY

SWETKY, MICHAEL GREGORY God's heavenly angels were sent to bring Michael home in the early hours of Sunday, December 22, 2013. As we celebrate the birth of Christ, we will also rejoice knowing Michael will be reuniting with his parents Andy and Marie. Also to greet him will be his sisters Andrea and Catherine who've all gone to awaken in the great glory of Christ. Michael is survived by his sisters Carole and Terri, their husbands, and their children; and lifelong companion, Tony Leyba. Look upon my weakness, and be merciful unto me, for Thou knowest whereof I am made, Thou rememberest that I am but dust; deal not with me therefore after my sins, nor reward me according to mine iniquities; but according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies have compassion upon me. Assist me, I pray Thee, with Thy heavenly grace, and give me strength, that I may be able to bear with Christian patience all the pains, uneasiness and trials of my sickness. Preserve me from all temptations so far as Thou seest fit, and be Thou my defense against all the assaults of the enemy, that I may nowise offend Thee; and if it be Thy will that this sickness should be my last, I beg of Thee so to direct me by Thy grace that I may in no way neglect or be deprived of those Sacraments which Thou hast ordained for the good of my soul, to prepare it for its passage into eternity; so that, being cleansed from all my sins, I may put my whole trust in Thee, and love Thee above all things; and that finally through the merits of the Passion and Death of Thy Son, I may be admitted into the company of the Blessed, there to praise Thee for ever, thorough the same Jesus Christ our Lord.

You, my beloved son, it's been 12 years since you went to heaven. I know you are doing great work for our Lord God and that you are there with your father and grand fathers. Even though my heart misses you so much! I want you here with me, but can't because I know the good work that you are doing for God comes first. I do know that you love me. And I know He will bring us together with love forever, in God's heart forever, and through His son, Jesus Christ - Amen. Merry Christmas, Son! Love Always, Your Mom

MCRAE, JOHN GORDON John Gordon McRae passed away on December 14th, 2013 peacefully at home. John had valiantly battled a long-term disease and had shown bravery and compassion throughout the long and painful years of this fight. John is survived by his brother Robert "Bob" McRae of Ohio and his wife Sandra; niece Brenda and nephew Bobby; also cousins Marsha, Melinda, Heather, and Stuart. John also is survived by many dear friends who considered him family. John was preceded in death by the love of his life and long-time companion, Michael Justice. He was also preceded by his father Bruce A. McRae and his mother Antonia Cary McRae. John was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and always considered New Mexico the only place he wanted to live even after traveling to all four corners of America. He went through grade school here and then went on to earn Bachelors and Masters Degrees in fine arts at the University of New Mexico, with an emphasis on photography. Professionally he became an Art Teacher at Los Lunas High School and was considered among the more influential teachers many of his students had the benefit of having. John loved art in all forms and would share this love with his many friends in the form of gifts such as hand-painted photographs that we will treasure for the rest of our days. John had a great appreciation for life and beauty and expressed this through his devotion to his dearly loved pets and his wonderful lush gardens. John gave much of himself to his friends and will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing to know and love him back. Donations can be made to the Southwest Care Center in Santa Fe and Animal Humane New Mexico. A memorial and celebration of John's life will be held in the coming spring, his favorite time of the year.

GALLEGOS, CORINE S. 3/31/1931 - 11/19/2013 I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below, with tiny lights, like heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow. The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear, for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear, but the songs of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring, for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me. I see the pain in your heart. But Im not so far away. We really aren't apart. So happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you dear, and be glad Im spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I send you each a special gift from my heavenly home above. I send you each a memory of my undying love. After all "Love" is the gift, more precious than pure gold. It was always most important in the stories Jesus told. Please love and keep each other, as my father said to do, for I can't count the blessings or love he has for you. So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away the tears. Remember, Im spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. Merry Christmas to my Forever Love, Love Frank.
