VOJTA, JIRI Jiri Vojta, age 82, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Beloved husband of Ann; loving father of Alexander (Fabiola) of Lafayette, CA, Michael (Mary) of Richmond, VA and Jan of Pittsburgh, PA; brother of Hana Souckova of the Czech Republic; and doting grandpa of seven. Jiri was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Marie Vojta. Jiri came to this country in 1957 and became a citizen in 1962. He was very proud to be an American. He was a retired History Professor and had lived in Albuquerque for 21 years. Jiri loved the Southwest, especially the mountains. A Rosary will be held on Friday, July 12 at 3:00 pm at FRENCH Westside. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, 5800 Ouray Rd. NW, officiated by Father Ronald Bibeau. Burial will take place at Queen of Heaven in Lafayette, CA at a later date.
