MORGAN, MARLENE a resident of Albuquerque for 33 years died December 11, 2013. Marlene was born July 28, 1943, in Denver CO. Several days later she was adopted by Victor and Edythe Hansen and grew up on their farm in Fowler, CO. She graduated from Fowler High School and worked in Cocoa Beach, FL. While in Florida, she married Dan Morgan in a chapel at Patrick AFB. She lived in Orlando where her daughter and son were born. The family moved to Panama City, FL. where she learned to square dance and clog. The family moved to Phoenix and Marlene graduated from ASU with a bachelor degree in teaching. The family moved to Albuquerque where she received her master's degree from UNM. She taught math and science at Harrison Middle School for nearly 25 years. She retired from teaching in 2008, when she was able to pursue her hobbies of stitching, crocheting, and beading. She is survived by her husband Dan Morgan, of Albuquerque, her daughter, Vicki Morgan-Lenard of Las Vegas, NV, her son Chris Morgan of Albuquerque, her grandson Christopher Otero of Roswell, NM and an honorary niece Melissa Dooley of Fort Collins, CO as well as many wonderful friends. The memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2014. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
