CHAVEZ, ROBERT (BOB) Passed away peacefully on December 28, 2013. He was born April 6, 1931 in Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents Fransisco and Agida Chavez. Bob is survived by his sister Elsie Chavez Madrid; children, step-children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was raised in Abq in the San Jose community and graduated from AHS in 1949. He served honorably in the US Army Korean war. He made his home in Sacramento CA, where he proudly worked and traveled the world and retired as an airplane inspector from McClellan Air Force base. He spent his favorite past-time bowling and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4647, N Highland, CA where he had many good friends. Services and Funeral Inurnment with military honors for Robert will be held at the Mt. Calvary Chapel and Cemetery on Friday, Jan 10th, 2014 at 11:00 am. Following the service will be a reception at the VFW Post 401, 2011 Girard Blvd SE Abq. 87106. Our appreciation to: Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, Abq 87108. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Robert Chavez.
