BRAZFIELD, LINA D. Age 81. On Monday, January 20, 2014 Lina found peace in her battle with cancer. She was born on March 18, 1932 in Manzano, NM. It was there that she met and married the love of her life, Claude Brazfield. She provided a loving home for her husband and four children. She raised her family in Los Alamos, NM and later moved to Albuquerque in early 1972. She was an active member of St. Anne's Parish and loved to create beaded artwork for her friends and family. She was lovingly known as "Grandma Beads" by her great-grandchildren. Lina will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister. She will be dearly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Claude Brazfield; her son, Patrick Brazfield; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa Maes and Jaeda Brazfield. Lina is survived by her sons, Tony Brazfield and Leroy Brazfield, both of Albuquerque, NM.; daughter Evelyn Maes of Rio Rancho, NM; her twelve grandchildren, Michael Brazfield, Jeromy Brazfield, Heath Brazfield, Joseph Brazfield, Joanna Gonzales, Leroy Brazfield Jr., Cindy Maes, Angela Hilburger, Gina Madrigal, Dawn Galaz, Erin Maes, and Nyree Maes; twenty seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; as well as her brothers Julian and Joe Romero. Services will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Road, S.W. Albuquerque, NM. A Viewing will take place on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 5:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:00am. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Friends and family are invited to attend the reception following services at Cabezon Community Center, 2307 Cabezon Blvd NE, Rio Rancho, NM. Pallbearers will be Jeromy Brazfield, Joey Madrigal, Gabe Galaz, Christian Gonzales, Leroy Brazfield Jr., Albert Romero, Raymond Romero, and James Gonzales.
