CHAVEZ, MARY Mrs. Chavez, age 73, passed away on January 24, 2014. Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Clemente and Louisa Ortiz; her brothers: Eugenio and George Ortiz; sister, Ramona Lopez; and brother-in-law, Eddie Ortiz. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dan L. Chavez; daughter, Danetta Chavez and Cliff McMann; daughter, Lanetta Sandoval and husband Ernest Jr.; daughter, Janetta Rubi and husband George Jr.; brothers: Elauterio Ortiz and Betty, Frank Ortiz and Emma, Chano Ortiz and Katie, Ray Ortiz and Barbara; sister, Emma Ortiz; sister-in-law Gloria Ortiz; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Lopez. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: George and Jamie, Jason, Lauren, Mary Rose and husband David, Ernest and fiance Jennifer, and Daniel; as well as her three great-grandchildren: Christopher, Nevaeh, and Alexys. Mary's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church (1400 Arenal Rd SW 87105.) Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m., also at St. Anne's Catholic Church followed by Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
