HOWREN, ROGER LEE Age 60, of Los Lunas, passed away peacefully January 25, 2014, after a long, courageous struggle with cancer. He was born on Aug.19, 1953 in Keokuk, Iowa, to the late Aubrey Howren and Dorothy Brown. He lived in California before moving to New Mexico in 1978. He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda; daughter, Carrie, and her husband, Jonathan Purse; grandchildren, Naomi Cordero, Daisha, Donovan, and Devon Purse; a son from a previous marriage, Justin Howren; grandchildren, Justin, Jr., and Nicole, of CA; brother, Steve Howren of Lompoc, CA; sisters, Ginger Fields and Shelly Gorseth of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews. Roger loved the outdoors and loved to fish. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a unique, kind person. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at 11:00 am at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo, NE, Albuquerque, NM, with a reception to follow immediately.
