CERVANTES, FILOMENO (PHIL) age 81, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 10, 2014, after he lost his battle with cancer. Mr. Cervantes is survived by his sisters, Barbara Monica Cervantes and Lucy Cervantes; brother, Agustin (Aggie) Cervantes; goddaughter, Alice Mora and husband, Herman; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Cervantes was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Adela Cervantes; brothers, Ignacio and Frank Cervantes. Phil was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Phil was an employee of Joe G. Maloof for over forty years. Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2014 at Shrine of the Little Flower of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 300 Mildred NW at 4th Street. from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Cervantes, Ruben Cervantes, David Cervantes, Christopher Cuellar and Bret Cervantes. Honorary pallbearers will be Ignacio Jude Cervantes, Cameron Cervantes, Raymond Sanchez, Herman Joe Mora and Michael Cervantes.
