HILLS, M. KATHLEEN 1946 - 2014 Kathleen Hills, age 67, a resident of Bernardo, passed away peacefully in her home on Jan. 1st. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Hills. She is survived by her mother, Madeline Crockett of Veguita; her dearly loved daughter, Joleen Baughman and husband, Brian, along with their children, Tyler and Lana Baughman; her brother, Jerral Holden and wife, Nina, and son Justin Tharp, wife, Dina and their two daughters. Her sister, Betty Nuanes and her dearest niece, Breanna. Also survived by nephew, Mike White, his wife and daughter, whom she dearly loved along with many other nieces and nephews. Kathleen was born in Hot Springs, N.M. in 1946 to Jo Buck Holden and Madeline Crockett. She grew up in Magdalena and later met and married her beloved husband Earl, September 6, 1964. She was a hard worker and was always taking in young adults whom she dearly loved. She was a homemaker, a wife and a wonderful mother. Kathleen and Earl loved spending time in the mountains more than anything. She trained and rescued dogs and was often called on to help others with theirs. When Kathleen and Earl were not training horses, milking cows or trapping, they were hunting or cutting wood slabs for furniture that has been sold worldwide. The Gila National Forest is where they both loved to be. She loved life and she especially loved her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by many. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held in the Gila National Forest at a later date.
