CORELIS, JOHN G. SR. age 92, of Golden, NM, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2014. John was a great father and husband. He loved his family, his Greek heritage, fishing, and boxing. He was a proud Marine that Honorably served in both World War II and Korea. Born in Moline, IL., he was a treasure hunter at heart who followed his prospecting and mining dream west to the San Pedro Mountains, spending over fifty years in the area. John's legacy is left to his sister Helen Corelis of Moline, IL.; wife Rose Mary Corelis of Golden, NM; three sons, John Corelis Jr. of Lubbock, TX, David Corelis of Albuquerque, NM and Chris Corelis of Golden, NM; daughter, Theresa Pool of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. John's Memorial Service will be held at Camp Oro Quay, 1441 Hwy 344, Sandia Park, NM 87047 on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2:00pm. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW.
