LANDAVAZO, NORA our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt went with our Lord on April 30, 2014 at the age of 82 years. She passed away peacefully with treasured loved ones at her side. Nora was born in Williams, Arizona to Jacob and Aurelia Laycock on June 24, 1931 but lived most of her life in Gallup, NM. She graduated from Gallup High School and earned her AA degree from UNM-Gallup Branch. She was primarily a homemaker, but also spent some time working at the Gallup DMV. She spent many years attending Christian church which she found very fulfilling. She loved singing, watching baseball, playing scrabble, reading, cooking Mexican food, helping with elections, and being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by five of her six children, Patricia Nasrallah, Daniel Gonzales, David Gonzales, Dolores Landavazo and Christina Deesen (Landavazo). She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Rodney, Dena, Moni, Amjad, Patricia, David Nicholas, Danielle, Anthony, Nick, and Abby and four great-grandchildren; as well as her four sisters: Lisa Montano, Laura Guillen, Jenny Veda, and Alvina Hightower. She was preceeded in death by her parents Jacob and Aurelia Laycock; brothers Isaac, Tallo, Louis, and Ernest Laycock; husband; Ephrem Landavazo; son, Nicholas Gonzales; and grandson James Gonzales. A memorial will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Calvary Albuquerque Prayer Chapel.
