PENALUNA, JEAN passed away at her home on April 8, 2013 at the age of 90. Jean was predeceased by Robert "Penny" Penaluna, her beloved husband. They were high school sweethearts and were married in Waterloo, Iowa. They made their homes in Waterloo, IA and Ft. Myers, FL. Jean moved to Fairwinds in Rio Rancho, NM to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law in August 2005. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Cathie Sorensen with husband Don of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Sue Gorsh with husband Jim of Clinton, IA; son Tom Penaulna with wife Ginger of Cederfalls, IA; nine grandchildren with spouses; 13 great-grandchildren; and her companion, her Shih Tzu Sammy. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at Fairwinds Retirement Community, 920 Riverview Dr. in Rio Ranch, NM on April 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Storehouse West at www.storehousewest.org
