LONGORIA, SIMONA Age 77, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 27, 2014. She was born in Vaughn, NM and is a resident of Albuquerque. Simona enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together, keeping her house nice and tidy, and above all she loved her family so much. Simona is survived by her loving children, Ray Andrew Baca and wife Dorothy, Rene Longoria and wife Marisol, Esther Alfaro; ten grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; her nephew whom she helped raise, Joe Gutierrez; sister, Teresa Lucero and husband Adan; brothers, Alex Baca Jr. and wife Consuelo, Frank Baca and wife Veronica; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Simona will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. KELLOGG, JOHN ANDREW &Quot;JK&Quot; Age 39, of Rio Rancho, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, after a short illness. John will be greatly missed by his son, Matthew; parents, Rich and Mary Jo Kellogg; sisters, Cyndie and Sarah; brother, Gerald; parents-in-law, Miguel and Maria Cuevas; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was very active in youth sports, loved to fish and camp. He was employed by Hewlett-Packard in Computer Sales. John was a wonderful husband to Rosie, who preceded him in death in 2008. He was a devoted father to Matthew, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. JONES, DANIEL CRAIG Sunrise: April 17, 1937 Sunset: February 26, 2014 Daniel Craig Jones was born to William and Anna Thelma Jones on April 17, 1937. He was the sixth of eight children born to this union. Preceding Craig in death were his parents, brothers, William Dudley Jones, Allen Donovan Jones, and David Myron Jones and sister Mary Catherine Jones Patterson. He was baptized at an early age at First CME Church. Craig attended public schools in Larned, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree and a Master of Science in Mathematics at Kansas State University. In 1961 he accepted a position at Sandia National Laboratory and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He held an esteemed position as a mathematician for Sandia Laboratory for forty years. In 1961 he also joined Grant Chapel AME Church. He met Marcella Redmond and they married in 1962, to this union two children were born Dron Carville and Paula LaVon Jones. Craig and Maxine Jones were married at Grant Chapel Church in 1994. This union created a blended family with Maxine's children, Vanessa Jones MacFarlane and Hugh (Gino) Jones, II, grandchildren Victor Le'Andre MacFarlane, Kyle David MacFarlane, and Cory Lee Jones. Craig was the Choir Director, served as a Trustee, and taught Sunday school at Grant Chapel. He was a Founding member of Powerhouse Fellowship AME Church; chairperson of Stewardship and Finance, Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Directors. He was the recipient of the 2011 Man of the Year at the Desert Mountain Conference, and Citizen Award recipient for Powerhouse 2013 awarded by the Ministers Fellowship Alliance of Albuquerque and vicinity. He was a faithful committed member of the AME Church. He also worked on his PhD. at the University of New Mexico. He enjoyed classical music, wood working, and vintage cars. He leaves to mourn - sisters Wilma Jones and Janet Jones Mitchell (Robert) of Las Vegas, Nevada, brother Dale Jones (Mary) of Larned, KS, a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & nephews. Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 11:00am, Grant Chapel AME, 7920 Claremont NE, Albuq.

HARRISON, GEORGE F. George F. (Sonny) Harrison, 76, of Albuquerque, joined the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth (Billie) Harrison, his children; Clint Harrison and wife Amanda, Kathleen St. Clair and husband Ray; his brothers; Robert, Mike, Ronny and Jerry; his sisters; Pearl, Deana, Susie, Norma, Tana, Barbara, and Margaret. Mr. Harrison was also a grandfather to Kristin, Stefen, Brian, Megan and Katelyn; great-grandfather to; Noah, Auburn and Zoey. He also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenny Harrison and his parents Thelma Noretta Harrison and Ray O'Dean Harrison. George was an usher and member of Life Tabernacle for many years. WAKITSCH, HAROLD &Quot;MAX&Quot; LT. COL. USAF (RET) Age 85, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014. He is survived by his family, two sons, Pete Wakitsch and Scott Wakitsch and wife Sandra; two daughters, Karen Rivera and husband Jimmy and Sandy Mayne and husband, Jeremy; five grandchildren, MyraShea Wakitsch-Dunlap and husband David Dunlap, Nicole Rivera, Bethany Rivera, Kelsey Mayne and Abigail Mayne. Max was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, in 2013; his parents, Peter and Orabelle Wakitsch; brother, Gerald Wakitsch; and a sister, Marybelle Cassidy. He graduated from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in 1953. After the Naval Academy, he joined the Air Force and completed his flight training in Hondo, TX. His Air Force career spanned the globe. He retired in 1978 after 30 years of service to his country. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. BACA, BOLESLO JOSE Joe (Lelo) Baca's spirit left his physical body on March 2, 2014. He now continues his journey with loved ones that have gone before him. He was born on March 7, 1940 in Las Nutrias, NM, the fifth of eleven children born to Pedro and Josefita Baca. He was a very hardworking man that cherished his family above all else. He was always there when others needed his strength and encouragement. He never sugar coated his words and his message was always clear. Get to work! He is survived by his sons, Pete (Prescella); Joe Jr. (Dubey); Abel (Shirley); Rick and daughter Berna. Also 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara. He will be forever missed.

VIETS, DON E. Age 67, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, March 2, 2014. He is survived by his husband, Kevin Blackerby; and son, Joshua Viets and his husband, Tyler Anderson. Don was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, volunteering his time and love in the Adopted Families Program, and as a Stephen Minister. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Don spent his career in the Veteran's Administration, helping other vets. Even after retirement he remained active in serving veterans of the Iraq War and their families.
