TAFOYA, MICHELLE Michelle Tafoya, age 35, of Albuquerque passed away March 9, 2014. Michelle is survived by her cherished children Lawrence and Melissa Duran; her granddaughter Neveah Montano; father Michael Romero; sisters Mary Jane Chavira, Charmaine Tafoya and Jasmine Williams; brother Eddie Joe Tafoya; four nieces; seven nephews; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Lorenza Romero and granddaughter Izabellah Montano. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 12:00pm at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, 505-275-3500. Friends and family are welcome to visit one hour prior to the service.

SUPPLE, RICHARD GRAEME Age 82, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home in Angel Fire, NM. Born in South Bend, Indiana, on March 7, 1932, he graduated from Short Ridge High School, Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1950. He was an Eagle Scout. He attained a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Purdue University (1954). He was a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Ordinance Corps stationed at Remington Arms, Lake Arsenal in Independence, Missouri for two years. He was awarded the Commendation Medal by the Secretary of the Army for the design of a projectile recovery system. Richard's engineering career started in Sales for American Blower Co. in Denver, Colorado. In 1960, he transferred to Albuquerque as Sales Manager. From 1965 to 1994, he was a Chief Technical Officer and then President for Bridgers & Paxton Engineering Consultants. He designed numerous HVAC applications throughout the Southwest. Some of his projects included Presbyterian Hospital, Joseph Hospital, the Albuquerque Convention Center, the Albuquerque Academy, Lovelace Hospital, the Zimmerman Library, the Pit, the New Mexico Space Museum, the Scottsdale Fashion Square and the Albuquerque Plaza. He was the first Father/Son National President of ASHRAE (formerly the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers). In 1994, Richard and Anne moved to the energy-efficient home that he had designed and built in Angel Fire, New Mexico where he became a prominent volunteer with the retirement community. His lifelong passions were golf, tennis, basketball, the Indianapolis 500, reading and playing the piano. He was also an accomplished electrician, flew small aircrafts, rebuilt cars, and designed and built wood furniture. He is survived by his wife, Anne M. Supple; brother, Robert N. Supple and wife Sue; and the following children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren: Robert C. Supple, his wife Suzanne and their daughters Monet and Michaela Audrey A. Supple, her partner Frank M. Duus and his daughter Penelope Graeme W. Supple, his wife Cheryl, their children Ian, Molly, Kevin and his wife Tiffany and their children Brooke and Sean Richard A. Supple and his children Megan and Jordan Jeffrey J. Supple, his wife Susan and their daughters Sarah, Madison, and Brittney. The family is planning a celebration of his life in mid June.

STRINGER, JEAN J. Age 92, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on August 4, 1921, to William and Ethel McIntyre. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bert L. Stringer Jr. Jean is survived by daughters, Gay Henderson, Joyce L. (Don) Powers, Sue A. Hancock, Lois J. Cook, all of Albuquerque, NM; fourteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1956. Jean was an avid and awesome bridge player, enjoyed bowling and loved caring for her family. Jones-Smith of Oberlin, OH; his sisters Diane E. Smith Hughes of Homer, AK and Cynthia L. Smith of Wheat Ridge, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. Smith and Doris Marxmeyer Smith. Tom spent his youth in Red Bank, NJ and resided in Vermont, South Dakota, Illinois and California at different times during his life.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Lois Thayer and husband Tris of Roseburg, OR; sister Wylene Santistevan; her brothers Allen Taylor and David Hedrick; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shull was preceded in death by her daughter Carole Jean Lafreniere, and husband Robert Lee Shull. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. She had a great love for her family and animals and will be greatly missed.

RYALS, MARVIN F. Marvin Floyd Ryals of Albuquerque, NM passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the age of 83. Marvin was born in Castleberry, Alabama on April 25, 1930. Marvin served in the US Army and is a veteran of the Korean War. After retiring from the Army at Ft. Bliss, Texas, he moved to Albuquerque where he was a long-haul truck driver for William Thomas Trucking. He is predeceased by his brothers Lawrence Jr, Curtis, and Marlin. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Antonia Carrasco Ryals. They were married at St. Patrick's Cathedral in El Paso, TX. His five children and their spouses: Ernestina Ryals Vasquez and her husband Daniel, Marvin Ryals and his wife Katherine, Rosa Laurie Martinez and her husband Dan, Norma Jaramillo and her husband Ed, and Ricardo Ryals and his wife Lorraine. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; as well as his brother, Loyd Earl Ryals; and sister, Christine Hinton. A Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 12 pm at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church located at 5303 Phoenix Ave NE in Albuquerque, followed by a Rosary at 12:30 pm and a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. MONTOYA, ANGELA PATRICIA Angela Patricia Lovato Montoya, age 50, of Albuquerque, died of Ovarian Cancer on Saturday, March 8, 2014. She was born to Lucy Lovato and the late Joe Lovato, Oct. 11, 1963, in Oakland, CA. Angela graduated from Cibola High School in 1981. Angela was a 26 year employee at Los Palomas Rehab and Health. She had many friends from her time there and had touched them with her loving personality, willingness to help others, and her amazing sense of humor. She was known for her many jokes and pranks. Angela is survived by her only son, Joe Martinez; daughter-in-law Shilo Martinez; two grandchildren, Vincent Martinez and Zoey Martinez. She is also survived by her mother, Lucy Lovato; three brothers, Sam Lovato, Dr. J Mario Lovato, and Martin Lovato; sister-in-law, Judith Lovato. As well as her nieces and nephews: Anjuli, Audrey, Misio, Gabriella, Mia, Kristi and Michael. MONKS, DOROTHY CARLOUGH October 12, 1923 - March 11, 2014 Age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, entered into eternal slumber on March 11, 2014. She is survived by son, Dennis Monks and wife, Karen of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Chris and wife Allyssa of Edmond, OK, Kim of Albuquerque, Brittney and husband Ryan of Albuquerque, Laray and husband Josh of Albuquerque; and great-grandchildren, Victoria, Aidan, Joey, Ellana, Mason and Draven. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Theodore; four brothers and four sisters. She was born in Campgaw, NJ. She married and moved to Pompton Lakes, NJ where they raised their son, Dennis. Dorothy was employed by Cooper Laboratories until she retired to sunny Beverly Hills, Florida, that is! Where they lived until Theodore passed. She then moved to Albuquerque to be with her family. She was actively involved in The Kitchen Jug Band at Palo Duro Senior Center and their chorus. She sang with the choir at New Covenant United Methodist Church. She was a loving, caring, clever and adventurous wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an excellent cook, baker, seamstress and a master of many talents, too many to list. LENCIONI, LOUIS WILLIAM Age 91, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Sandia Spring Emeritus, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Louis was born on September 26, 1922, to Louis and Lettie Lencioni in Laurium, Michigan, located in the Keweenaw Peninsula, where his father worked in the copper mines. At the age of 17, he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps foresting in the Upper Peninsula. When World War II began, he was sent to Alaska and later transferred to the European Theatre in France, where he was a point man for the infantry and later received a bronze star for his courageous service in the war. He was wounded by a German shell and had to spend nine months in military hospitals in Europe and in a veteran's facility in the United States. In 1946, Louis married Thelma Louise Phillips in Detroit, Michigan, and worked as a machinist for the X-L-O Corporation, which is now Textron, for 30 years before retiring to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1974. His passion was golf. During his lifetime, he made three holes in one: August 18, 1959, at North Hills Country Club in Michigan, another on August 25, 1959, at North Hills, and a third in 1980 at Paradise Hills Country Club, in Albuquerque. The love of his life, Thelma preceded him in death on August 28, 2011, after 65 years of marriage. Louis is survived by a niece, Barbara (Michael) Sparks and their son, Brayton of Michigan; and cousins, Carol (Jerry) Toombs of Arizona, Shirley Jaggar of Washington, Leontine Kilberg and Genevieve Lanfranki of Michigan. CULVER, MARILYN DE FOREST mother, grandmother and great- grandmother passed away peacefully March 9, 2014. Marilyn was born on December 1, 1924, in upstate New York to Dr. Lee de Forest and Mary Mayo de Forest. For many years she resided in Albuquerque, NM but her love of the outdoors, the Northwest and spirit of the "western way of life" precipitated her to move to White Fish, Montana and eventually settling in Spokane, Washington. She worked and enjoyed her time as an administrative assistant for the CBS affiliate KREM television located in Spokane, Washington. After her retirement in 1992, she moved to Las Cruces to be closer to her family whom she dearly loved. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Holy Cross church. She is predeceased by her husband Ed Culver and sister Eleanor Peck. She is survived by daughter Susan Martin and son-in-law Gregg of Las Cruces; two grandchildren Kenny Martin and wife Amy of Edgewood, Texas, Kelly Martin and husband Brandon Stecker of Las Cruces; four great-grandchildren Libby, Barrett, Connor, Keely and her special grand- cat "Oreo." She will be dearly missed by her family but always remembered for her strength, positive attitude, devotion to God and loving ways. The family wishes to thank Mesilla Valley Hospice staff for their compassionate and caring treatment in her final days. He graduated from Olympic High School in 1991. Sean attended Oklahoma State University and had been employed by SimplexGrinnell for approximately nineteen years. He was a generous, caring man who loved life and loved his family. He would go out of his way to help others in any way that he possibly could. BOYER, WILMA Wilma Westmoreland Boyer, our beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her family on March 5, 2014, in Woodbridge, Virginia. Wilma was born Oct. 29, 1926, in Patterson, Missouri, to Willard and Ollie Kathryn (Wilcox) Westmoreland. Her husband, Bill Twidwell, preceded her in death in July 1953. On September 30, 1956, she married Charles Francis Boyer, and they settled in Taos, New Mexico, where Charles was living. A daughter, Pamela Kathryn, born to Wilma and Bill Twidwell in 1954, was adopted by Charles in 1958. Wilma lived in Taos, Raton, Artesia, Albuquerque, and Moriarty, New Mexico, for almost 50 years before returning to Missouri and then moving to Virginia. Wilma retired from the telephone company in 1983, having worked for Southwestern Bell in St. Louis and Mountain Bell in New Mexico since 1948. She recently said work was her hobby, but she also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, gardening, and square dancing. Wilma was predeceased by her parents; brother, Winfred Westmoreland, and sister, Annie Marie Westmoreland. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles F. Boyer, Springfield, Virginia; daughter, Pamela Kathryn Boyer Sayre and son-in-law, Richard G. Sayre, Springfield, Virginia; nephew, Kenneth D. Westmoreland (wife Teresa), St. Louis, Missouri; stepbrothers, Clecy Lee Westmoreland (wife Edith), of Bowling Green, Missouri, and Bob Westmoreland (wife Mary Ann) of Bonne Terre, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Erma Vestine Yount, St. Louis, Missouri, and Shirley Reynolds (husband Ray), Princeton, West Virginia; "extra daughter" Christy Crawford, Phelan, California; and numbers of nieces and nephews and life-long friends. BACA, PETER I. 1943 - 2014 Peter I. Baca, age 71, a resident of Belen, passed away on Friday, March 7, at 3:50 p.m. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, the Union Protectiva, and the Knights of Columbus. He also volunteered often socially and gave generously of himself to all whom he met. He was born March 8, 1943, to Felipe and Frances Baca. He is a native of Santa Fe, NM. He approached everything in life with a zest, a passion and enthusiasm, that captivated all who met him. He worked hard all his life and had a strong heart. Peter loved the arts, literature, painting, music and the outdoors, were all favorites of his. "If fear should stop us in the middle of the road, we would hear ridicule, from the voices of the night, but if we reach the mountain peak bravely, we shall join the heavenly spirits in songs of triumph and joy." Peter was preceded in death by his brothers, Felipe and Eppimeno; sister, Mary; and granddaughter, Briana. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Vicky; five children, Pedro, Laura, Joaquin, Raquel, and Antonio; 12 grandchildren and one great grandson; sisters, Cathy, Dorothy, JoJo; and brother, Leonard, all of whom he loved dearly.
