MCCLURE, VAL ROBERT COL. USMC (RET.) Age 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, passed away on March 14, 2014. He is survived by his two daughters Kelly McClure of Rio Rancho, Cathleen Driscoll and husband, John, of Albuquerque; and one grandson, Trent Lopez, of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen, on December 3, 2009. Val enlisted in the Marine Corps at age 18, spending the next 23 years active duty, retiring as a Colonel. He enjoyed spending time with his dachsunds through the years, and also reading, drawing and writing. Friends may visit Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH -Lomas. A Cryptside Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 with full Military honors.
